Description Isopropyl Myristate IPM Used as an emollient, thickening agent, or lubricant in beauty products and composed of Isopropyl Alcohol and Myristic Acid. It's often used in aftershaves, shampoos, bath oils, and various creams and lotions. It is an ester of isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid (vegetable-derived) and is a low viscosity, non-greasy emollient that tolerates wide pH range and is compatible with most surfactants. Thanks to its low viscosity and density, it has a high spreadability factor. It is easily absorbed by the skin and reduces the oily feel that some high oil content formulations can have.Colorless oil-like liquid with little or no odor. Additional Notes These are only suggested usage rates. Each formulation is different and you must test in small batches to find the percentages that work best for you.
