Description Paraben Free Preservative Blend Our Paraben Free Preservative Blend is a humectant and preservative blend that aids in the preservation of cosmetic formulations. It can be used as an alternative to parabens or other preservatives that may be undesirable. It is a multi-functional emollient, moisturizer and preservative that can confer benefits in cosmetic emulsion systems.Suggested uses are in skin care creams and lotions, or in surfactant-based products such as shower gels, bubble baths, and shampoos. It can be used to control microbial growth. It is recommended that it be used at concentrations of 0.7% w/w to 1.0% w/w. When Paraben Free Preservative Blend is used in emulsions, it is recommended that it be incorporated into the water phase. Paraben Free Preservative Blend is also soluble in oils and may be used in anhydrous formulas.BENEFITSParaben and formaldehyde free Usage Recommended usage: 0.70 to 1.0 %Odor: Mild, characteristicAdd to your formulation at under 100C°Add at room temperatureWorks great in any formula with a pH between 3 and 10. Additional Notes These are only suggested usage rates. Each formulation is different and you must test in small batches to find the percentages that work best for you. Always start by mixing in a low percentage, then gradually add until you reach your desired result. Great preservative I decided to try this preservative to get my formulations from parabens. I was skeptical about it’s effectiveness so I made a lotion and let the lotion stay in the bathroom, then used a spectral bacteria and mold test. I became a believer in this preservative. Nothing grew. This is my go to preservative. It preserves for a long time well over eight months.
